Australia has paused “green zone” flights from New Zealand that allow Kiwis to travel to the country without going into quarantine.
Any people flying from New Zealand to Australia will now need to undergo 14 days in hotel quarantine.
The pause is initially set to last until 24 August (NZT) but will be reviewed on Friday.
Australia’s chief medical officer said more time was required to understand how large New Zealand’s current community cluster is.
